Financing Energy Efficiency in Buildings: Prioritise cost-effective measures!
As a response to the European Commission’s public consultation on financing energy efficiency in buildings, Eurofuel argues for a realistic approach. In times of economic difficulties and budget constraints, public means should be invested in priority in promoting the most cost-effective measures, such as heating system modernisation works. Beyond public resources, the oil heating industry has long invested in very successful energy saving schemes, which support customers in replacing their heating systems.
