How to achieve a ‘socially fair and consumer-centred’ energy transition

Energy Council Ministers meeting today in Brussels can no longer ignore Europe’s poor in the energy transition. Allocating EU funds to buildings and heating systems’ renovation programmes for the energy poor, low-income and vulnerable people is essential to support an inclusive, progressive and affordable energy transition.

The heating fuel sector is playing its part in the energy transition by fast-tracking hybrid systems. Just as for cars, hybrid technology for heating is available, affordable and accessible.
